Description

Do you want to explore LEGO Mindstorm EV3 robotics? Interested in joining a FIRST LEGO League team? Sign up for our summer workshops to investigate the wonderful world of robotics!

Kids dive into the Hydrodynamics experience and learn first-hand what FIRST LEGO League is all about, with robot design, programming, armature builds, and troubleshooting to create an autonomous robot (built from LEGO Mindstorms) to navigate a challenge course.

To get the most out of their selected workshop series (“Robotics” and/or “Girl Powered”), kids should plan to come to all three sessions in the series.  Each series is only $25! No one turned away for lack of funds.

These workshops are in partnership with the NW Discovery Lab, WSU 4-H in Jefferson County, and the Discovery 4-H Club’s “Howling Chickens FLL Team.”

What to bring: a healthy lunch and an appetite for robotics!

Who will gain the most: any child 9 to 14 years old, who enjoys working with a team, and loves LEGOs and/or robotics!

Why robotics: because robots are fun, teach teamwork, troubleshooting, and build top notch STEM skills.
